Project Supervisor, Water Mitigation
Supervisors run several mitigation projects at once. You will build and adjust drying plans, direct technicians and labor crews, keep job files clean, and be the person adjusters and property managers call for answers.
About the role
What the work looks like
This role is for someone who has run water losses before and can keep several jobs moving at the same time. You will own each project from first inspection through equipment pickup and final documentation.
Because our owners come from the insurance side of the business, we put real weight on the job file. A supervisor who can explain category, class, equipment counts, and drying days in terms an adjuster accepts is worth a great deal to us.
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple active mitigation projects at the same time across the metro
- Perform initial inspections, moisture mapping, and category and class determinations
- Write drying plans and adjust equipment as daily readings change
- Schedule and direct technicians, labor crews, and 1099 subcontractors
- Review every job file for complete photos, readings, equipment logs, and signed work authorizations
- Scope mitigation in Xactimate or Cotality (formerly Symbility) and support estimate reconciliation
- Serve as the main point of contact for adjusters, property managers, and owners
- Enforce safety, PPE, and containment practices on every site
- Track equipment placement, utilization, and recovery
Requirements
- 3 or more years of water mitigation, restoration, construction, or property claims experience
- IICRC WRT certification, or the ability to earn it within your first 90 days
- Experience leading crews or managing more than one job at a time
- Strong written communication for job notes, emails, and adjuster updates
- Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
- Availability for on-call escalation, including nights and weekends during storm events
Preferred qualifications
- IICRC ASD (Applied Structural Drying); AMRT or HST a plus
- Xactimate Level 2 or higher, or equivalent Cotality experience
- Insurance adjusting background or a current adjuster license
- Experience with third-party administrator (TPA) and carrier program guidelines
- Commercial or multi-family loss experience
- OSHA 30-Hour and EPA RRP Lead-Safe Certified Renovator
Insurance background is a plus
Our owners each have more than 25 years in property insurance claims. If you have worked as an adjuster, a claims desk reviewer, or alongside carriers and third-party administrators, say so on your application. That experience shows up in better job files and fewer disputes, and we value it.
