Restoration Labor Technician
Labor technicians do the hands-on work that lets a building dry: removing wet materials, hauling debris, moving contents, and carrying and setting equipment under a technician or supervisor.

What the work looks like
This is a good entry point into the restoration trade. You do not need certifications to apply. You do need to show up, work hard, follow safety procedures, and treat every home like it belongs to someone you know.
Labor technicians who show they are reliable and want to learn can move into technician work as they gain experience and certifications.
Responsibilities
- Remove wet drywall, insulation, baseboard, carpet, pad, and flooring as directed
- Haul debris and keep job sites clean and orderly
- Move and protect furniture and contents
- Carry, set, and pick up air movers, dehumidifiers, and other equipment
- Set up plastic containment and floor protection
- Follow PPE and safety procedures, including on sewage and contaminated water jobs
- Assist technicians with extraction and cleaning
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and do repetitive physical work
- Comfortable working in basements, crawlspaces, attics, and dirty conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Availability for some evenings and weekends, especially after storms
- Willingness to complete a background check
Preferred qualifications
- Demolition, construction, flooring, moving, or cleaning experience
- Valid driver's license
- Interest in earning IICRC WRT certification
- OSHA 10-Hour card
Insurance background is a plus
